STORY

Why I became a
roasted sweet potato shop.

After years of experience in the restaurant industry, I opened Imonosuke, a roasted sweet potato specialty shop — now in its first year.

It started with the taste of a single roasted sweet potato I happened to try.
“I want to share this feeling with the local community.” “I want roasted sweet potatoes to build warm connections here.” — It was that strong feeling that led me to open this shop.

Like washoku, sushi, or matcha — I want Japan's roasted sweet potato to become a food culture the world takes pride in.
From our hometown to the world, we'll keep bringing great taste and smiles along the way.

Owner: Keigo Terada

CONCEPT

Natural nectar.
The sweetness of the potato,
slowly drawn out.

We obsess over the roast to draw out every bit of the ingredient's potential. That is Imonosuke's “Natural Nectar.” Carefully selected Beni Haruka from Ibaraki are roasted one by one, with no sugar or additives, for a sweetness like a premium dessert.

  1. 01

    Beni Haruka from Ibaraki

To deliver exceptional sweetness and flavor, we use only high-quality Beni Haruka grown in Ibaraki.

  2. 02

    Slow-roasted

Roasting at a low temperature for a long time turns the starch into sweetness and brings out the most fragrant aroma and deep richness.

  3. 03

    Slowly aged

Letting the potatoes age slowly brings their natural sweetness to its peak. Enjoy the luxurious flavor of the ingredient itself.

For those who cherish small joys.
Imonosuke makes your everyday a little sweeter and more comfortable.
